Working Abroad

Places of work:

The discussion on overseas employment advantages is endless. We will not even start. We just know that only substantive arguments can convince someone of doing something!

So we want to give you three main arguments for the overseas employment, which, in our opinion, are worth your attention. Then you get to choose –

to change your life, or leave it as it is!

  1. Overseas employment opens up the world of incredible possibilities;

Let’s view the example of Scott Harrison, who did not undertake any task highly paid. He thought of places to go, where he would be able to get invaluable experience and the dream job. Scott actually paid by himself to work abroad in the medical team in West Africa. His experience became his passion, and his desire to improve life in poor areas where he worked.

Today he is the founder and CEO of WATER Charitable Organization that provides access to clean water all over the world. But it could not have happened if Harrison had not taken the ship going to Liberia.

The conclusion is simple: by leaving your comfort zone, you can find inspiration, insight and ideas that you might not have found if you had continued going with the flow in the same place day after day!

  1. Overseas employment helps to learn or improve foreign language;

More than once you have heard the famous saying of Goethe, “As many languages you know, as many times you are a human being.” Knowing several languages is good, but what is more important is to continuously improve these skills.

Overseas employment is one of the most effective ways to learn a language fast. But the most important thing is that you will be able to immerse into the culture and traditions of a new country, get to its life rhythm centre and feel like a different person in a new place.

And it does not matter whether you work in Poland, Germany, Spain, Italy, Czech Republic, Norway, or the U.S., the main thing is to hear your inner call and go where you want to work and spend all your life!

  1. Overseas employment improves your cultural competence level;

In the midst of growing society globalization, to learn how to accept and appreciate cultural differences is a good step on your successful career path. Of course, you do not have to leave your country to increase comfort level when interacting with people of different races and cultures, but immersing into another culture can give you unprecedented awareness and understanding of people who are different.

For example, when you have to talk with a colleague from Europe in order to understand why something went wrong with a task, you will be less prone to stress in this situation and you are less likely to feel barriers in communication if you have previously worked in Europe or just travelled there for improving language skills.
